In accordance with the University Grants Commission (UGC) (Promotion of Equity in HEIs) Regulations, 2012, and the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s directives, the university has established the Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) and SC/ST Cell to address disparities, support marginalized communities, and promote inclusivity in higher education.
These cells aim to create awareness, address grievances, and ensure equitable access to educational opportunities for Disadvantaged Groups, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC– non-creamy layer), Women, Minorities, and Differently Abled Persons.
Ensure non-discriminatory practices in academic and administrative matters
Provide support and guidance to marginalized and disadvantaged communities
Create awareness and sensitize on equity-related issues
Monitor and resolve grievances related to discrimination
Implement policies as per UGC and Supreme Court guidelines
